PELVIC FLOOR ISSUES ARE "COMMON"

That Doesn't Mean They're "Normal"

Only Women With Children Are Affected

While childbirth can lead to pelvic floor issues, plenty of women who’ve never given birth experience them too, often because of genetics, hormones, or lifestyle factors.

Only Women Experience Pelvic Floor Issues

Men are not immune to pelvic floor programs, including incontinence and pelvic pain.

It’s Just a Normal Part of Getting Older

Although symptoms can become more common with age, they’re not inevitable. With the right care and exercises, many people maintain excellent pelvic floor health, and you certainly don’t have to ‘just live with it.’

Kegels Are Always the Solution

Kegels can help strengthen pelvic floor muscles, but they’re not right for everyone. Some people actually need relaxation and release work if their muscles are tight or overactive, which means Kegels aren’t a one-size-fits-all ‘gold standard’ for pelvic floor training.

Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Is Rare

It’s actually very common. Many people simply don’t talk about it due to embarrassment or not realising help is available.

Surgery Is the Only Treatment

There are many effective non-invasive treatments, including physical therapy, lifestyle adjustments, and targeted exercises. You don’t have to jump straight to surgery, the right approach is highly individual and should be tailored to your needs.

It Only Affects Physical Health

Beyond the physical symptoms like pain or incontinence, it can also impact emotional well-being and contribute to stress, anxiety, or low mood.

A MESSAGE FROM SHAY

Hi Freyas,

At 27, I launched the UK's first women's-only fitness club in 2015, challenging industry norms while investors called my vision "lunacy." I saw an opportunity where they saw limitations and secured two successful investment rounds.

My journey through women's health has been deeply personal: navigating incontinence after surgery, surviving breast cancer, walking my own fertility preservation path, and finding my way through a surgically induced early menopause.

My determination to transform women's health runs deep. I will fearlessly champion women's right to more options and less BS.

I bring substance to Freya, I am a Level 4 Personal Trainer, Pre/Post Natal specialist, PN Level 2 nutritionist, with 15+ years in women's wellness.

My body has lived many lives, professional dancer, Ironman triathlete, and now at 39, simply an evolving gym-goer. Confession: I'm not naturally drawn to social media, so be gentle if you spot me there!

Hope to see you in our programs.
